About the event

The next YALA Book Club, coinciding with Holocaust Remembrance Month, will be chaired by Richard Aronowitz, Global Head of Restitution at Christie’s. The discussion will focus on The Orpheus Clock by Simon Goodman, which traces the Gutmann family’s history and Goodman’s efforts to uncover his family’s past and navigate the complex challenges of restitution. The conversation will explore the profound losses of the Holocaust, the role of provenance research, and the intersection of art and law in facilitating restitution efforts.
